Award-winning UK-born, US-based trumpeter Alexandra Ridout brings her NYC quartet to Kings Place, featuring some of the most exciting young musicians on the city’s contemporary jazz scene. United by a shared commitment to original music and creative collaboration, the quartet offers a snapshot of New York’s vibrant jazz community today.
Now based in Harlem, Alexandra Ridout has established herself as a distinctive voice within New York’s contemporary jazz community. Her career was catapulted into the international spotlight when, aged 17, she won the prestigious BBC Young Jazz Musician award in 2016.
Alongside her own projects, Alexandra is regularly called upon to tour and record with leading artists including Grammy Award-winning vocalist Samara Joy, Artemis, the Mingus Big Band, Dave Douglas, Melissa Aldana, Miguel Zenón, Arturo O’Farrill, Toninho Horta, Dayna Stephens, Christine Jensen, Kit Downes, Or Bareket and Jochen Rueckert. For this quartet, Alexandra is joined by pianist Yvonne Rogers, bassist Simón Willson and drummer David Sirkis, three rising voices within New York’s contemporary jazz scene, whose credits include work with Bill Frisell, Sullivan Fortner, Linda May Han Oh, Joel Ross and Walter Smith III.
A multi-award winner, Alexandra’s accolades include the Keep an Eye International Jazz Award for Best Soloist (2023) and the 2025 Next Jazz Legacy Award through New Music USA. This special performance brings her NYC quartet to London to celebrate the musicians and creative community at the heart of her life in New York.

£10 ‘Under 30s’ tickets
A limited number of £10 tickets are available for certain shows to attendees aged under 30. To access Under 30s tickets, update your account with your Date of Birth. Please visit the account centre to add your Date of Birth.
If £10 tickets are available, the ticket discount will apply automatically at checkout. If the discount does not apply, this means all ‘Under 30s’ tickets have sold out for the performance.

Kings Place is situated just a few minutes’ walk from King’s Cross and St Pancras stations, one of the most connected locations in London and now the biggest transport hub in Europe.

The Venue
Our performance spaces are situated on the lower ground floor. Hall One, Hall Two and St Pancras are located in level -2, reached by stairs, escalator and lift from the ground floor entrance level.
Event Times
Door times indicate auditorium entrance times only. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the Kings Place seating areas, gallery-level art, canal-side terrace, café, restaurant and bar throughout the day and evening.
- Our events begin promptly at the advertised start time. Typically, there is no support unless otherwise stated.
- We recommend arriving in good time before the performance. The Hall doors will open 30 minutes before the performance to allow time to take your seats, or to choose a space for standing shows.
- Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance where possible

Rotunda Bar & Restaurant
Rotunda, situated on the ground floor of Kings Place, offers a unique dining and drinking experience alongside Regent’s Canal. The concert bar in the venue foyer will also be open for select events.
Green & Fortune Café
Recently re-furbished and now open with a new look, the Green & Fortune Café is open for selected concerts. Serving hot and cold food and drinks, including sandwiches, salads, soup, stew and a pie of the day, alongside a choice of cakes made by the on-site bakery team. Yvonne Rogers
Yvonne Rogers is a pianist, composer and improviser from coastal Maine, now based in Brooklyn, New York. A 2024 Next Jazz Legacy Awardee and 2024 Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award recipient, she is an active member of New York’s contemporary jazz scene, performing with artists including Ingrid Laubrock, Adam O’Farrill, Linda May Han Oh, Ralph Alessi and Sara Serpa. Rogers was also a member of the 2021/22 Focusyear Band in Basel, performing alongside Kris Davis, Sullivan Fortner, Miguel Zenón, Larry Grenadier and Jorge Rossy. Her debut album, Seeds, was released on Relative Pitch Records in 2023.
Simón Willson
Chilean-born, New York City-based bassist, composer and improviser Simón Willson is an in-demand presence on the contemporary jazz scene. He has worked and toured internationally with leading artists including Dave Douglas, Ethan Iverson, Jason Palmer, Jonathan Kreisberg and Frank Carlberg, as well as with the Mark Morris Dance Group. Willson co-leads the ensembles Family Plan and Earprint, whose debut album won the 2016 NPR Music Jazz Critics Poll for Best Debut Album. In 2023, he performed with Vicente Atria’s septet Orlando Furioso, which won the Deutscher Jazz Preis for Best International New Artist. He has appeared on more than 35 recordings.
David Sirkis
David Sirkis is a New York-based drummer, composer and bandleader whose work sits at the forefront of contemporary jazz. Originally from Israel, Sirkis draws on Middle Eastern influences alongside the diverse musical language of New York. He has performed and recorded with leading musicians including Shai Maestro, Gilad Hekselman, Tivon Pennicott, Joe Martin and Yonatan Voltzok. As a bandleader, he has released several projects, including When It All Starts and Look Up!, recorded live at New York’s Jazz Gallery. Sirkis is an active member of New York’s vibrant jazz community, performing regularly across the city and internationally.
