Arts and Music Podcasts

Are you interested in making a podcast about Literature, Music, or Arts more broadly? Join Gabriel Ebulue, host of the Three Track Podcast, Yovanka Paquete Perdigao from Not Another Book Podcast, and Lucy Dallas from the TLS podcast as they talk through the process and the pitfalls of making an engaging show, translating from print to podcast, and communicating a passion for the arts in an accessible way.

A writer, editor, and translator from Guinea Bissau, PostcolonialChild aka Yovanka Paquete Perdigao is a new critic you’ll love to hate but secretly agree with. Yovanka’s writing has been featured in the Guardian, Brittle Paper, AFREADA, Ozy. She is also the mastermind behind Terra Crioula, a platform that promotes Afro Lusophone literature.

Inspired by Oscar Wilde’s question, ‘With freedom, books, flowers, and the moon, who could not be happy?’, the TLS brings you a wide-ranging weekly podcast on books and ideas. Lucy Dallas, a frequent contributor, is the Arts Editor of the TLS.

Gabriel Ebulue is a comedian and the host and creator of the popular music-based podcast, The Three Tracks Podcast which has had guests such as Baxter Dury, Nish Kumar, James Acaster, and Gemma Cairney. Within a year of launching his podcast made it to the new and noteworthy on iTunes, was mentioned as one of the Guardians podcasts of the week and sold out two live shows (guests were Jamali Maddix and Nick Hem). His podcast continues to grow as this year live versions of his podcast have been selected to be a part of Green Man Festival, Machynlleth Comedy Festival and Lattitude. Gabriel is also a music journalist who has appeared on such blogs such as Stereogum and Overblown Zine.
