Following their much-loved Kings Place collaboration in 2025, Neave Trio reunites with dancers David and Kim Benitez of Tango Movement for an exhilarating evening where chamber music and tango collide.
Following their acclaimed 2025 collaboration, Neave Trio reunites with David and Kim Benitez of Tango Movement for an evening that brings together the elegance of chamber music and the passion of tango.
The programme begins with Joan Trimble’s lyrical Phantasy before moving through two masterpieces of the piano trio repertoire: Brahms’s expansive and richly expressive Piano Trio in C major and Ravel’s dazzling Piano Trio, a work alive with colour, rhythm and dance-inspired energy.
The second half turns to the unmistakable world of Astor Piazzolla. With David and Kim Benitez bringing the music to life through dance, works including Escualo, Milonga del Ángel, Muerte del Ángel and the virtuosic Grand Tango capture the intensity, intimacy and drama of Argentina’s most celebrated musical voice. Blending outstanding musicianship with the excitement of live dance, this vibrant collaboration offers a compelling journey from the concert hall to the streets of Buenos Aires.
This event will last approximately 2 hours, including an interval.

£10 ‘Under 30s’ tickets
A limited number of £10 tickets are available for certain shows to attendees aged under 30. To access Under 30s tickets, update your account with your Date of Birth. Please visit the account centre to add your Date of Birth.
If £10 tickets are available, the ticket discount will apply automatically at checkout. If the discount does not apply, this means all ‘Under 30s’ tickets have sold out for the performance.

Kings Place is situated just a few minutes’ walk from King’s Cross and St Pancras stations, one of the most connected locations in London and now the biggest transport hub in Europe.

The Venue
Our performance spaces are situated on the lower ground floor. Hall One, Hall Two and St Pancras are located in level -2, reached by stairs, escalator and lift from the ground floor entrance level.
Event Times
Door times indicate auditorium entrance times only. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the Kings Place seating areas, gallery-level art, canal-side terrace, café, restaurant and bar throughout the day and evening.
- Our events begin promptly at the advertised start time. Typically, there is no support unless otherwise stated.
- We recommend arriving in good time before the performance. The Hall doors will open 30 minutes before the performance to allow time to take your seats, or to choose a space for standing shows.
- Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance where possible

Rotunda Bar & Restaurant
Rotunda, situated on the ground floor of Kings Place, offers a unique dining and drinking experience alongside Regent’s Canal. The concert bar in the venue foyer will also be open for select events.
Green & Fortune Café
Recently re-furbished and now open with a new look, the Green & Fortune Café is open for selected concerts. Serving hot and cold food and drinks, including sandwiches, salads, soup, stew and a pie of the day, alongside a choice of cakes made by the on-site bakery team. About Neave Trio
Praised for performances that ‘balance passion with sensitivity and grace’ (BBC Music Magazine), the two-time Grammy Award-nominated Neave Trio is known for its fiery connection and shared sense of storytelling that reflects the deep human bonds at the core of chamber music. Gramophone has praised the ensemble’s performances as ‘thrilling’ and electrifying’.
The Trio’s 2026/27 season brings the US premiere of Eric Nathan’s Dreamscapes, debuts at Snape Maltings Aldeburgh and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and a return to Kings Place in London, alongside a Kohl Mansion residency, a collaboration with soprano Laura Strickling, and performances throughout Hawaii.
Formed in 2010, the Neave Trio has performed at leading concert series and festivals worldwide, including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Smithsonian, and venues across Europe, Japan and Russia. Advocates for living composers, the Trio commissioned Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon to write a new work for piano trio, A Vast Palette, which premiered during the 2025/26 season and was featured in the Trio’s London debut at Kings Place. The Neave Trio has also commissioned works by Augusta Read Thomas, Eric Nathan, Robert Sirota, Leah Reid, Robert Paterson and Dale Trumbore.
Prolific recording artists, the Neave Trio released its album In Her Hands in spring 2026. Musical Remembrances (Chandos, 2022) earned a Grammy nomination for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance, and their release La Mer (Chandos, 2025) received a 2026 Garmmy Award nomination in the same category.
The members of the Neave Trio are dedicated educators, and the ensemble currently serves as the inaugural Ensemble-in-Residence at Virginia Commonwealth University.

David and Kim Benitez are a London-based Argentine tango duo distinguished by their deep connection, refined elegance and expressive musicality. Trained by leading maestros in Buenos Aires, they bring more than eighteen years of performance experience across festivals, concert halls and cultural institutions.
Their work honours the traditions of tango while exploring the form with a thoughtful, contemporary sensibility. Known for their clarity of movement and intuitive partnership, David and Kim combine technical precision with a creative approach to improvisation. Alongside performing, they run one of the UK’s leading tango schools, Tango Movement, contributing to the development of tango communities in London and across the UK.
