Voices of Palestine Festival
Celebrating Palestinian Culture & Heritage
Join us at the Voices of Palestine Festival for a vibrant celebration of Palestinian culture, arts, and heritage. Hosted by PalMusic, UK in support of the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, Palestine, the Festival’s art exhibitions will feature works from the Palestine Museum US & Scotland, and the Stitch Their Names Together project Hudur al-Gha’ibin – Presence of the Absent – a monumental textile installation comprising 275 hand-stitched panels created by approximately 360 artists. Through the meticulous embroidery of 50,000 individual names, the work serves as a memorial to Palestinian lives lost in Gaza.
There will be a bustling souk of Palestinian crafts, cuisine, traditional tatreez embroidery & thobes and a series of inspiring talks and discussions where leading voices in art, literature, theatre, cinema & storytelling, music, poetry, and peacebuilding share their unique perspectives on Palestine’s enduring cultural identity.
Other highlights include the acclaimed theatre production Welcome to Gaza, by the Hands Up Theatre Project. Evening performances feature Gazelleband, the NABAD Dabke Troupe, and a spectacular finale by Banat al-Quds/ Daughters of Jerusalem, an all-female choir from Palestine. Experience the resilience, creativity, and spirit of Palestinian culture while supporting young musicians in Palestine. Proceeds support the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music.
