90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest: Robin Ince on Aaaaaaaah!

Special guest Robin Ince presents Steve Oram’s 79 minute opus Aaaaaaaah!

London Podcast Festival 2021

The podcast that celebrates films under 90 minutes long returns to Kings Place with a brand new live show!

Sam is curating a fictional film festival. He’ll accept almost anything, but the movie must not be longer than 90 minutes.

Each episode a special guest selects a length appropriate movie and discuss why it should be included in the festival’s line up.

For this live edition of the show, we will be joined by comedian, writer and fellow podcaster Robin Ince (The Infinite Monkey Cage, Book Shambles with Robin and Josie).

We will watch Robin’s chosen film, Aaaaaaaah!, together on the big screen and discuss the film with Robin during our live podcast recording straight after.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to Safer Places, a charity that provides domestic abuse support services. More info: saferplaces.co.uk Charity registration number 1018832.

About the film…

Aaaaaaaah! (2015) Cert. 18. 79 minutes.

★★★★★ “One of the great British films of the new millennium. It’s plainly and simply hilariously funny” Little White Lies

Steve Oram’s directorial debut. Starring Julian Barratt, Tom Meeten, Lucy Honigman, Steve Oram, Noel Fielding, Toyah Willcox and Alice Lowe.

Alpha Male, Smith and his Beta, Keith, make a move to take over a local community. They hook up with restless Female, Denise, igniting a deadly feud in which emotions run high and deep-seated grudges re-surface amongst the tribe.

Are we not men? Or are we simply beasts?

Shot entirely in a language of grunts and gibberish, Steve Oram’s debut feature is a celluloid primal scream – an anarchic, hilarious, disturbing and touching look at the human condition.
