David Baddiel: The God Desire

Jewish Literary Foundation presents Book Week

Speaker David Baddiel
Chair Joseph Dweck

After his record-breaking ‘Jews Don’t Count’ event in 2021 David Baddiel returns to the festival with his latest bestseller ‘The God Desire’, described as ‘breathtaking’ by Stephen Fry and ‘hugely heartfelt, funny, kind, fascinating, human and clever’ by Alain de Botton.

This thought-provoking and philosophical essay is written from his perspective as a reluctant atheist who fantasises about how much better life would be if there actually was such a thing as a Superhero Dad.

The writer, broadcaster and comedian will be in conversation with Rabbi Joseph Dweck, Senior Rabbi of the S&P Sephardi Community of the United Kingdom and the Rosh Bet Midrash of TheHabura.com.

Buy a copy of The God Desire by David Baddiel from Blackwells.

This event will last approximately 1 hour, without an interval.
