Jimmy Mulville, creator and founder of the BBC’s comedy news show, discusses politics, satire and poking fun at politicians for almost three decades with John Wilson, presenter of BBC’s Front Row, alongside a special guest.

Jimmy Mulville was one of the founders of Hat Trick Productions in 1986 and since then has seen it grow into one of the country’s leading producers of comedy, drama and entertainment, regularly bringing to the screen distinctive and popular series, including Father Ted, Outnumbered, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Fonejacker, Room 101, The Kumars at No 42, Drop The Dead Donkey, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Bodies, Life Isn’t All Ha Ha Hee Hee and Worst Week of My Life and of course, Have I Got News For You which Jimmy created in 1990.
John Wilson is a British journalist and broadcaster, specialising in music-related interviews, and has interviewed countless musicians over his varied and extensive career. He has worked as a presenter and reporter on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row since it started in 1998. He is also an occasional presenter on BBC2’s Newsnight Review and has written about art and cultural issues for numerous publications including The Observer, the New Statesman and The Art Newspaper.
