Twenty years after his passing we celebrate Jack Rosenthal, one of the best-loved playwrights and screenwriters of the last century, in the company of his wife, Jewish Book Week favourite Dame Maureen Lipman, and special celebrity guests.

From writing for Coronation Street throughout the 1960s to Alec Guinness’ final role in Eskimo Day, and writing Yentl with Barbra Streisand, Rosenthal delighted film and television viewers for over 40 years. He won BAFTA awards for The Bar Mitzvah Boy, The Knowledge, and Spend, Spend, Spend and an EMMY for The Evacuees.  He created ITV sitcoms The Dustbin Men and The Lovers, and the series London’s Burning. Join us for a fascinating conversation, with Maureen Lipman and special guests.
