Growing up in Rome Silvia Nacamulli had the privilege of observing three generations of fine Italian Jewish cooks within her own family.

Now the La Cucina di Silvia founder, cook and food writer takes us on a culinary journey through her homeland, combining over 100 kosher recipes for Italian-Jewish dishes with family stories, stunning photography and practical tips. Yotam Ottolenghi calls Jewish Flavours of Italy ‘a brilliant book to cook from’, while Claudia Roden describes it as ‘fascinating, moving and delicious.’

About the speakers:

Silvia Nacamulli is a master in the art of traditional Italian Jewish home-cuisine. London-based, born and bred in Rome, Silvia had the privilege of observing three generations of fine Italian Jewish cooks, surrounded by Italy’s culture and love of food. Silvia set up her business, Cooking for the Soul, in 2002 and has established herself as a much-loved professional cook, lecturer, and food writer. Her first book, Jewish Flavours of Italy: A Family Cookbook is out now.

Pen Vogler is the author of Dinner with Mr Darcy, Tea with Jane AustenDinner with Dickens and Christmas with Dickens. She writes and reviews on food history for the press, edited Penguin’s Great Food series and has recreated recipes from the past for BBC Television. She lives in north London.
