Please note this is the KPlayer premiere of a pre-recorded interview.

After the first broadcast this event will be available on demand until Tue 8 Jun, 11:59.

China Moses joins Tina Edwards to dig deep into Amy Winehouse’s ground-breaking music, her spiritual home of Camden and her enduring musical legacy.

Amy Winehouse was somewhat of an anomaly within the music biz. Despite topping the pop charts and winning a slew of awards including five Grammy Awards, an Ivor Novello, a BRIT, a MOBO and much, much more, she did not fit into the pop star mould in any shape or form. Her voice, her song writing, her musical style, her visual style and her attitude were far from any X Factor pre-manufactured package. She radiated unadulterated, pure talent. She was also a mainstay in Camden, her spiritual home, and paved the way for British soul singers such as Adele.

China Moses is a singer songwriter of Soul music with a touch of Jazz. Art is in her DNA. She gets her stage presence and voice from her mother, Jazz Icon, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and her ability to craft a short movie in every song from her father, theater and film director Gilbert Moses. She has set her own path, fine tuning a sound uniquely her own. She is the French voice of Disney’s Princess Tiana and performed the French version of Disney’s The Circle of Life from the new Lion King.
