Liz Truss grew up in a northern, left-wing household with parents in the public sector. Now she is on her third cabinet post as Chief Secretary to the Treasury and recently founded a new think tank called Freer to promote her vision of free enterprise and social freedoms.

Liz Truss is a Conservative Party politician and Chief Secretary to the Treasury. She has been the MP for South West Norfolk since 2010 and was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Education and Childcare in September 2012. Liz served as the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2014 until 2016, when she was appointed Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State until June 2017.
