Broadcaster, journalist, and author Michael Crick was one of the founding members of the Channel 4 News Team in 1982. Crick joined the BBC in 1990, moving to their Newsnight programme in 1992 and became a political editor in 2007. He eventually returned to Channel 4 News as a political correspondent and was chosen as Specialist Journalist of the Year at the Royal Television Society television journalism awards in both 2014 and 2018. He has written books on Militant, Jeffrey Archer, Michael Heseltine and Alex Ferguson.
Kirsty Lang is a presenter of Radio 4’s flagship arts programme, Front Row. She is an experienced journalist and broadcaster with a special interest in foreign affairs and culture. She spent many years as a foreign correspondent reporting for the BBC and the Sunday Times from Eastern Europe and later Paris. She’s been a presenter on Channel 4 News, BBC 4 and BBC World and she is a trustee of the British Council.
