Micah Goodman is one of the most original and influential public intellectuals living in Israel today. He was named by the Jerusalem Post as one of the 50 most influential Jews in 2017 and by Liberal Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Israelis in 2019.
A sought-after public speaker and advisor to Israel’s political and intellectual leadership, he is the author of six bestselling books. His first three—Moses’s Final Speech, The Dream of the Kuzari, and The Secrets of the Guide for the Perplexed—explore classical Jewish thought. His next three—The Wondering Jew, Catch 67, and The Attention Revolution—explore contemporary Israeli issues and ideas.
Micah is a senior research fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute, is one of the founders of Beit Prat – The Academy for Leadership, and teaches political philosophy and thought in Israel and the United States. Since March 2021, together with Efrat Shapira Rosenberg, he is the host of one of Israel’s leading podcasts, Mifleget Hamachshavot – The Great Ideas Behind Israeli Politics, produced by Beit Avi Chai.
Efrat Shapira Rosenberg develops and directs content at Beit Avi Chai in Jerusalem. She creates and hosts popular podcasts about Israeli politics, currents affairs and Jewish thought. Previously, Efrat served as a program officer at the Avi Chai Foundation in Israel, a major player in the field of Jewish renewal and education. Her field of expertise is processes of building Jewish identity within secular young adults through philanthropy and projects that focused on Jewish peoplehood.
Efrat is a media figure, television host, columnist, podcaster and educator. Her articles appear in leading Israeli newspapers and she hosts radio and television programs. In addition, Efrat teaches Jewish thought and texts and is on the board of directors of Jerusalem’s Sam Spiegel Film School and Chair of the Kolech Movement for Religious Feminism in Israel.
Efrat holds an LL.B from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem , an M.A in Public Policy from Tel Aviv University, is an alumnus of the Mandel Institution for Educational Leadership and is currently pursuing a PhD in Gender Studies at Bar Ilan University.
