Moral Dilemmas

Joseph Dweck and Raphael Zarum

Jewish Book Week

Joseph Dweck speaker
Raphael Zarum chair

We are a people with the baggage of millennia. Today, there are so many strands of Jewish thought, practice and tradition that the fundamental life lessons contained in our book of books are often forgotten or misunderstood. Rabbi Dr Raphael Zarum interviews Rabbi Joseph Dweck, a leading religious voice in Anglo-Jewry today, about his current writings on the biblical prophets and our need to hear their compelling and often provocative words.

Joseph Dweck is the Senior Rabbi of the S&P Sephardi Community of the UK. Born in America, he has lived in LA and New York. He first trained as a hazzan, and has served as a rabbi and a head teacher in Brooklyn. He is currently Deputy President of the LSJS, and a President of the CCJ and Ecclesiastical Authority of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. Rabbi Dweck lives in London with his wife and five children.

Raphael Zarum is Dean of the London School of Jewish Studies. He holds an MA in Education, a PhD in Theoretical Physics, and has published a number of papers on Quantum Chaos Theory. He is a graduate of Jerusalem’s Mandel Leadership School and a leading Jewish educator both in the UK and worldwide.
