The best stories need killer sound design, and killer sound design needs both a technician and a storyteller.
In this workshop aimed at proficient editors and producers, Andy Goddard will open up his edit sessions and peel back the layers of his shows from factual, drama, comedy and archive to show what goes into sound narrative radio making. He will demonstrate techniques for blending music, wildtracks and bespoke sound effects to tell great stories with beautiful sound.
Andy Goddard is a producer, sound designer, occasional composer and noise organiser. He is best known by podcasters for his work on Wooden Overcoats. As well as being the first podcast producer at BBC Studios, he has sound designed for Audible, Warner Brothers and once Thorpe Park for a bet.
