These terms and conditions apply to all Members of the Friends & Patrons scheme outlining how the scheme works. By purchasing or using a Membership, you agree to the terms below.
Membership Structure
Kings Place Music Foundation offers four Membership tiers with associated benefits and access.
All Memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of activation. Memberships are available to individuals aged 18 or over. Joint or shared Memberships are not available.
Structure of Contribution
All Memberships consist of two parts:
– A benefits value (covering associated Membership benefits, including services, events, hospitality)
– A voluntary donation, which supports Kings Place Music Foundation’s mission
You may opt to purchase only the benefits portion without making a donation; in this case, no Gift Aid will be claimed. To do so, please contact the Development team at friends@kingsplace.co.uk.
The suggested donation portion is voluntary and will help sustain Kings Place’s work with artists, audiences and the community.
– Bronze Friend (benefits £30 + a voluntary donation from £30)
– Silver Friend (benefits £50 + a voluntary donation from £70)
– Gold Friend (benefits £70 + a voluntary donation from £230)
– Patron (benefits £125 + a voluntary donation from £1,075)
Payment & Renewal
Memberships are available via monthly or annual payment only in £ GBP. This excludes the Bronze level membership, which is not available for monthly payments and must be paid in full upfront in £ GBP.
Your Membership will last for a 12-month period from the date of activation, unless otherwise stated. After that you may choose to automatically or manually renew your Membership for subsequent periods of one year. Members will be notified prior to renewal.
You can cancel at any time. If you have paid the benefits portion of your Membership in full, your Membership will remain active until the end of your 12-month term.
All Membership contributions are non-refundable.
If payment fails, Membership benefits will be paused until payment is resolved.

Gift Aid & Tax Efficient Giving
Where applicable, Kings Place Music Foundation will claim Gift Aid on the donation portion of your Membership.
For example, if you pay £60 for your annual Bronze Friend membership, we can claim 25% Gift Aid against the £30 voluntary donation portion of your contribution, worth £7.50 at no extra cost to you.
Members giving via CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) or other donor advised funds may need to purchase benefits separately to ensure tax compliance. Gift Aid can only be claimed if the Member received no more than the stated value of benefits and meets HMRC criteria.

– £5 discount issued on birthday (one use only)
– Free ticket exchange or credit note (when requested at least 1 week in advance of the performance booked)
– Invitation to one open rehearsal a year
Silver Friend
All Bronze Friend benefits plus:
– Invitations to three pre or post-concert events a year
– Website recognition
Gold Friend
All Silver Friend benefits plus:
– Invitation to a building tour of Kings Place
– Invitation to a second rehearsal each year
– Waiting list priority for sold out events
Patron
All Gold Friend benefits plus:
– Additional insights from the creative team connecting you to our work
– Preferential rates on corporate hire packages
– Dedicated contact in the Development team to connect you to the performance and work you care most about
– Invitations to exclusive Unwrapped Season Preview meetings with the Artistic Director
Access to the events programme applies only to Members at qualifying levels. Events are by invitation only and are subject to capacity limits; early RSVP is advised.
Guest places are subject to availability and may be restricted due to curatorial or venue constraints. As spaces are limited, we ask any cancellations are communicated to us as soon as possible to accommodate those on the waiting list.
Please note there may be photography at certain Member events. Please contact the Development team directly if you prefer not to be photographed.
Benefits are for personal use only and are non-transferable. Event invitations are limited and issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
We may request ID to verify eligibility when redeeming benefits, such as birthday perks. To receive birthday perks, please make sure you provide your date of birth when signing up or by getting in touch with the Development team at friends@kingsplace.co.uk.
Members don’t pay our usual commission/ticket fees, including online tickets or refunding tickets. This benefit is only available if the Member is the lead booker on the order.
Member discounts may not be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.
Cancellation & Termination
Friends & Patrons Memberships are a donation to Kings Place Music Foundation and therefore no partial refunds will be issued.
You can cancel your Membership at any time. If you have paid for your Membership in full, your benefits will remain active until the end of the current 12-month period.
Kings Place Music Foundation reserves the right to terminate Memberships without refund in the event of misuse, abusive behaviour, or breach of these terms.
In the event of a Member’s death, Kings Place Music Foundation may, at its discretion, transfer access to a named individual for the remainder of the term.
Cooling-off Period
If you change your mind, you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no benefits have been used.
Conduct
We ask all Members to treat staff, performers, and fellow customers with respect.
Any disruptive or abusive behaviour may result in removal from the scheme without refund.
Communications & Data Use
Kings Place Music Foundation communicates primarily via email. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure their contact details are up to date and alert the Development team of any changes.
Members must opt in to receive email communications to access all Membership benefits. Opting out of emails may result in missing invitations or renewal notices.
Your personal data will be processed in accordance with Kings Place Music Foundation’s Privacy Policy.
We may use customer data to tailor offers and experiences based on previous behaviour and preferences.

Changes to these terms
Kings Place Music Foundation reserves the right to update these terms and conditions, including benefits, prices and eligibility, at any time.
Any changes to the terms apply to your Membership with immediate effect from the date of publication on the Kings Place Music Foundation website.
