We’re expanding access to live music and spoken word at Kings Place, helping to create a more inclusive and connected community across our local boroughs for whom price might be a barrier to participation. Through the Community Club, partners like WE RESTART, Artbox and Highgate Black Women’s Wellness Group help their local networks connect with the arts.
Since launching in November 2024, we have given away hundreds of free and discounted tickets to local people across Islington and Camden.
“Through our work with refugee and asylum-seeking artists and families, we’ve witnessed how access to cultural events strengthens confidence and promotes community ties. The partnership with the Community Club ensures that barriers such as cost or accessibility do not stand in the way of participation, which is an incredible gift to those who need it most.” – WE RESTART, Community Club organisation
“Thank you for an amazing year, our ladies really appreciated coming to the shows. All of the acts were of exceptional standard and we are all so privileged to experience such high art on our doorstep in King’s Cross.” – Highgate Black Women’s Wellness Group, Community Club organisation
With your help, a donation today could:
– Expand access to live music for those who face social and economic barriers
– Promote inclusion by connecting people from different communities through the shared experience of music
– Build lasting partnerships with local organisations that care about enhancing cultural life and well-being in our community.
