‘Nobody else has his combination of poetry and pantherish power; he has a uniquely magic touch.’ Michael Church, The Independent
In the last decade Christian Ihle Hadland has established himself as a true craftsman of the piano, a musician whose delicate, refined playing and individual touch have led him to the most prestigious stages in the world. Christian has established a particular connection with British audiences following his two-year tenure as a BBC Radio 3 New Generations Artist.
For this Kings Place appearance he has chosen a programme centred around three of the best-loved of all pianist composers. The lyrical, intimate worlds of Schubert and Schumann will be juxtaposed with the sheer power and visceral thrill of Rachmaninov’s awesome Second Sonata.
