Cellist Caroline Dale and pianist/conductor Gavin Greenaway celebrate the release of ‘Skylines’, their debut album as Cloud Chamber. Drawing on their over 60 years combined experience at the top of the UK’s film score recording industry, their music evokes cinematic landscapes informed by a deep love of French Impressionism. These are stories without words, told by masters of the craft.
Caroline Dale and Gavin Greenaway, two of London’s most sought-after studio musicians, step out from behind the scenes to carve a new space for their own artistic expression with Cloud Chamber. This concert marks the project’s first outing in London, featuring music from their debut album.
Grounded in both musicians’ decades of working in film music, every composition is shaped by a strong sense of narrative and atmosphere. Soaring melodies, rich harmonies and delicate textures guide the way, while the intimate dialogue between cello and piano creates a sound world that is at once cinematic, deeply personal and profoundly human.
‘I have long admired Caroline’s magical ability to turn the simplest collection of notes into musical phrases full of meaning and emotion. So after one of our film score recording sessions when she said, “wouldn’t it be nice if we spent more time making music for ourselves?”, I was inspired and immediately began work – writing half a dozen pieces in a few weeks. From our very first run-through in Maida Vale, the music flowed effortlessly, and it was clear to me that we had to share the joy we felt playing together with a wider audience.’ Gavin Greenaway

£10 ‘Under 30s’ tickets
A limited number of £10 tickets are available for certain shows to attendees aged under 30. To access Under 30s tickets, your account needs to be updated with your Date of Birth. Please visit the account centre to add your Date of Birth and go to ‘Other Preferences’ to opt in to the Under 30s Scheme.
If £10 tickets are available, the ticket discount will apply automatically at checkout. If the discount does not apply, this means all ‘Under 30s’ tickets have sold out for the performance.

The Venue
Our performance spaces are situated on the lower ground floor. Hall One, Hall Two and St Pancras are located in level -2, reached by stairs, escalator and lift from the ground floor entrance level.
Event Times
Door times indicate auditorium entrance times only. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the Kings Place seating areas, gallery-level art, canal-side terrace, café, restaurant and bar throughout the day and evening.
- Our events begin promptly at the advertised start time. Typically, there is no support unless otherwise stated.
- We recommend arriving in good time before the performance. The Hall doors will open 30 minutes before the performance to allow time to take your seats, or to choose a space for standing shows.
- Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance where possible

Rotunda, situated on the ground floor of Kings Place, offers a unique dining and drinking experience alongside Regent’s Canal. The concert bar in the venue foyer will also be open for select events.
Green & Fortune Café
Recently re-furbished and now open with a new look, the Green & Fortune Café is open for selected concerts. Serving hot and cold food and drinks, including sandwiches, salads, soup, stew and a pie of the day, alongside a choice of cakes made by the on-site bakery team. Gavin Greenaway:
Emmy award winning composer, Gavin Greenaway has conducted over 200 film scores (Gladiator, How to Train Your Dragon, Wicked, Interstellar) as well as composing music for the theatre, TV and film, the opening ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics, songs with Bryan Adams and two solo albums for piano. From 2018 until 2024 he was the conductor and musical director of The World of Hans Zimmer arena show, leading the orchestra, choir and soloists in over 100 performances throughout Europe.
Caroline Dale:
Caroline Dale has a wide-ranging career both in the studio and on the live stage, performing with: the Nigel Kennedy and Balanescu Quartets, the English Chamber Orchestra, David Gilmour, David Gray, U2, and Sinead O’Connor; as concerto soloist with the LPO, RPO and RLPO; featuring on film scores, such as 1917, Atonement, Hilary and Jackie (about the life of Jacqueline du Pré) and Truly Madly Deeply. Her solo album Such Sweet Thunder combines classical repertoire with her own compositions. She led the cello section at the Coronation of King Charles III under the baton of Sir Antonio Pappano.
