The prize-winning Linos Piano Trio – Prach Boondiskulchok (piano), Konrad Elias-Trostmann (violin), Vladimir Waltham (cello) – perform Ravel’s hauntingly beautiful trio, perfectly preludised by the delicately expressive writing of CPE Bach’s Sonata for piano and strings (published in 1776). Their programme ends with the B major trio by Brahms, one of his most popular and arguably most ambitious piano trios.
