Black Lives in Music presents Classically Black

This is a collection of thrilling performances featuring the newly commissioned music from renowned composers Julian Joseph, Jason Yarde, and Pete Letanka.


Live performances of new and specially commissioned works by celebrated Black British composers Pete Letanka and Jason Yarde, as well as a chance to hear the much talked about violin concerto as penned by internationally acclaimed musician and composer Julian Joseph. The afternoon gives a unique opportunity for insight into these compositions by the composers themselves.

This event, produced by Black Lives in Music, takes place as part of Classically Black, a day of celebration in recognition of the contribution of Black and global majority musicians and composers in classical music. Full day passes and half day passes can be purchased here
