The Yehudi Menuhin School Orchestra

Experience a dazzling evening of chamber music presented by Yehudi Menuhin School, the prodigious talent of tomorrow’s leading musicians, featuring a vibrant tapestry of Spanish folk melodies, bold romanticism and Romantic lyricism.

The concert opens with Manuel de Falla’s Suite Populaire Espagnole, followed by the gradual unfurling of the drama and bold romanticism of Grażyna Bacewicz’s Piano Quintet No 1. We return after the interval with a burst of sparkling energy and wit from the Piano Trio by Germaine Tailleferre – the only female member of Paris’ ‘Les Six’. The evening culminates in Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet, a masterpiece of Romantic lyricism, ending an evening of magnificent music with radiant joy.

This is a Yehudi Menuhin School Promotion.

This event will last approximately 2 hours, including an interval.
