Best known as the ‘Prince of Balochi music’ and as vocalist in the multicultural group Golbang, Balochistan’s Rostam Mirlashari has taken its rich musical tradition and developed it in harmony with others.

His latest project is called Rozhnak (meaning ‘Light’ in Baluchi) which is based on his collected material recorded in his solo album of the same name, released in 2022.

Rozhnak has had the honour of being nominated as the album release of the year for the Folk & World Music Gala in Sweden 2023. Mirlashari was also nominated as the tradition bearer of the year in the same Folk & World Music Gala 2023 and won this prestigious award in April 2023.

Rostam and his musicians wish to dedicate this concert to the people of Balochistan and the revolution Woman, Life & Freedom in Iran.
