Brown Penny is a six-piece band with a soundworld drawing from indie, metal, jazz and electronic music.

Brown Penny is led by Mercury-nominated and Ivors Academy Award winning London-based composer, arranger and alto-saxophonist Cassie Kinoshi, best known for her work with Kokoroko and seed. (aka SEED Ensemble)

Alongside Cassie on alto-saxophone, Brown Penny includes musicians Tyrone Isaac-Stuart (alto saxophone), David Mrakpor (Vibraphone), Isobella Burnham (Bass), Tjoe Man Cheung (Guitar) and Ayo Salawu (drums).

In 2022 Brown Penny performed at SXSW in Austin, Texas as part of the jazz: refreshed showcase and will be releasing their first EP in early 2023.

Booking Fees

A booking fee of £3.00 per transaction will be triggered in accordance with the type of tickets in your shopping basket. All tickets, including the £9.50 Savers, are subject to a booking fee, with the exemptions of flat-rate £9.50 tickets (not advertised as Savers), and any other tickets cheaper than £9.50. An optional postage fee of £1.50 is applied if you wish to receive your tickets by post. Booking fees do not apply to purchases made in person at the Box Office.
