‘He reminds me of the young Django Bates, great improv chops, strong character as a player and a composer, evident love of the jazz tradition without wanting to repeat the past. He’s the kind of artist you always want to stay tuned in to, because you know he’s going to keep on coming up with surprises.’ John Fordham, Guardian
Following on from the release of 4 critically acclaimed trio albums and his Improvised duo album with Binker Golding last year, Dinosaur’s Elliot Galvin has released a solo piano album, recorded live in concert at the beautiful Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.
Consisting exclusively of spontaneously composed music, this is his most bold and intimate album yet, displaying his considerable prowess at the piano and gift for crafting solo sonic landscapes. Elliot will be performing a set of improvised solo piano music to launch the album at Kings Place.
