Patrick Shaw Iversen’s playing encompasses classical, jazz, improvised, and traditional music. Following Western classical studies, an early interest in the flute music of western Java and Bandung, West Java, resulted in commissions for the Oslo World Festival, Arts Council England, and CODA Oslo International Dance Festival. Combining this with his interest in electronics and live sampling has given him an innovative style. His passion for exploring traditional music has also taken him to the polar regions of the Sámi people of the north. He has composed numerous scores for theatre, film, and dance productions, worked with several festivals, and released numerous recordings, including four releases on Jazzland Rec / OK World Records.
Harpreet Bansal was born in Oslo to Indian parents, learning ragas with her father, Guru Harbhajan Singh Bansal. She later studied European classical music and North Indian music at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She has appeared as a soloist with ensembles including the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Trondheim Soloists. Her second album, Samaya, was nominated for the Spellemannprisen (Norwegian Grammy Awards) in 2018, as was her latest album, States of Mind (2025).
Famed for his self-made fretless bass, Shri rose to fame as a leading figure of the Asian Underground and Outcaste Records generation as one half of the groundbreaking drum and bass duo Badmarsh & Shri. Raised in Mumbai before moving to London in his 20s, Shri is a renowned BASCA British Composer Award-winning composer and performer, with appearances at Glastonbury, Later… with Jools Holland, and the Montreux and London Jazz Festivals. He composes for live performance, stage, and screen, and recently released a solo album, Singing Bass. He also premiered his Indian classical and street music-meets-jazz-and-brass-band project Dhamaal at EFG London Jazz Festival 2025.
