Continuing Thomas’ Gould Standard series, he is joined by guitarist Ant Law, legendary saxophonist Tim Garland, pianist John Turville and bassist Yuri Goloubev, to showcase a new quartet that has been causing a stir on this year’s UK jazz circuit.

Their programme stretches from Vivaldi to Bernard Herrmann, with tangos by Stravinsky, Piazzolla, Diego Schissi and Kenny Wheeler along the way, as well as showing off Garland’s incredible skills as an arranger and composer in his own right.

This is a special opportunity to hear four musicians at the top of their game in the intimacy of Hall Two, with a completely new take on ‘tango’.
