Throughout an international career starting in the late 1980’s Tim Garland has become known as a unique polymath in the British and wider European music scene – playing tenor and soprano saxes, bass clarinet, and flute first with Ronnie Scott’s band in his 20’s and with Chick Corea more recently, whose album The New Crystal Silence won Tim a Grammy for his symphonic orchestrations.

This year Tim’s latest album Weather Walker came out via Edition Records to critical acclaim (‘Absolute Essential Listening’ – ★★★★★ BBC Music Magazine), and features the esteemed Pablo Held (piano) and Yuri Goloubev (double bass), who will both be joining Tim as the Weather Walker Trio to perform his celebrated mixture of soaring melody, sophisticated jazz composition and earthy folk influences. The set will be expanded by the extraordinary guest talent of South Africa’s Abel Selaocoe (cello) who performed Garland’s cello concerto whilst still a student at the RNCM.
