Working across our performance programme and events business, the Production & Technology Director us a key executive role for the organisation, providing leadership on production, technical services, information management and technology. The role will develop an organisation wide technical strategy which encompasses performance and broadcast, ICT infrastructure and venue-technical infrastructure and facilities, ensuring they are resilient, current and up-to-date with industry standards, and capable of efficiently supporting the needs of a multi-faceted organisation.
Departmental management includes Production, Technical and ICT, ensuring effective communication channels between curators, clients, our in-house Events Company, and KPMF staff members are maintained to ensure the seamless delivery of all technical and technological services.
As a budget holder the role is responsible for ensuring performance and events budgets are met as well as reaching income targets for the up-sell of technical services and equipment to clients and artists.
As an inspirational and experienced leader, a key deliverable of the role is the recruitment, retention and development of a high calibre, professional, team who can realise their true potential and support the Artistic and Executive Director in achieving KPMF’s strategic vision.
This role has a high level of responsibility and requires an exceptional candidate who has the right mix of qualifications and experience across a wide variety of technical fields, an inspirational leadership style, and a strong industry knowledge alongside strong interest and passion for the arts.
You will have a highly commercial approach, which you deliver with empathy and in line with the values and nature of this charitable organisation. Excellent people management skills and proven experience of leading a team of staff are a must.
You will be a strategic thinker with excellent problem solving skills, both highly organised and ready to adopt an ‘all hands on deck’ mentality when necessary. Success in the role requires a candidate who is exceptionally motivated, both willing to take personal responsibility for business objectives and act as a positive collaborator. An excellent communicator, you will be able to act as interface between technical and non-technical colleagues with ease and authority.
Salary £55,000-£60,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)

We are delighted to announce that we are currently recruiting for an Event Production Manager responsible for the successful delivery of events and performances at Kings Place, specialising in the technical production of events and conferences.
The role liaises with, supports and advises our internal agent Kings Place Events (KPE) in the production of market leading and commercially viable events, delivering technical excellence throughout. The Event Production Manager works with KPE on the development, liaison and management of all Kings Place clients with focus on creatively consulting in production, technical feasibility and logistics.
Although the Event Production Manager specialises in corporate production, this role also requires flexibility to deliver and manage the artistic programme of events when required.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with strong experience in technical event production and project management as well as managing a multi-skilled team within a diverse events environment. A confident communicator, you should have a proven track record of track record of managing senior level client relationships and demanding technical events. You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of production techniques and technical equipment used in a variety of specialist fields including lighting, sound, AV and stage management. In a busy environment, you will have the ability to manage short and long term tasks simultaneously under pressure. Strong understanding of the artistic, performance, creative and educational requirements for music venues is a must. With a proactive approach to problem solving you should be able to show initiative, diplomacy and sensitivity. This is a great role for someone strong sales experience and a commercial focus who enjoys working on both corporate and artistic events.

Kings Place Music Foundation is always looking to recruit casual staff to work across several areas within the organisation. Casual staff will be highly motivated individuals acting as ambassadors for Kings Place, with the relevant skills and experience to provide the highest quality visitor experience for artists and members of the public. We are currently recruiting for casual Front of House Assistants to work alongside the Duty Manager, Back of House and Technical teams to provide a dynamic, engaging, and warm welcome to all visitors to Kings Place.
As the visitors first point of contact, Front of House Assistants need to be attentive and to openly engage with all guests, whilst always remaining professional.
The role requires a good working knowledge of Kings Place’s past, present and future artistic programme, and is responsible for positively promoting all of Kings Place’s products, facilities, and services to visitors.
Front of House Assistants will ensure Kings Place is presented to the highest standards possible, focusing on operational excellence at all times.
The role is also responsible for the wellbeing and safety of all visitors by observing KPMF’s health and safety regulations, wellbeing polices, and operational procedures at all times.
Hours are allocated as required, but not guaranteed.
Salary: £10.66 per hour plus Holiday Pay
