Alan Bearman Music have curated a programme which celebrates just some of the diversity and joy of American music traditions – multi-faceted and horizon-broadening – from Appalachian old-time through to contemporary blues, Haitian roots, and a genre-bending country icon. We celebrate community and inclusivity with an all-welcome hoedown dance and participatory sessions to unleash your inner banjo player!
The day will showcase some of the finest contemporary musicians from North America and UK-based Americana music scene, with headline performances from powerhouse Southern Gothic Americana performer Amythyst Kiah – supported by Haitian musician Germa Adan – and legendary contemporary country and Western Swing maverick Petunia & The Vipers in Hall One. More intimate shows and workshops run throughout the day, with old-time musicians Old Spot and fiery fiddle-led trio Interstate Express and some family-friendly dancing bring a community together, ending with a fabulous Cut A Shine evening hoedown.
