Sonya Pigot is an internationally acclaimed concert pianist and her concert career has taken her to perform recitals at Wigmore Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, The Tivoli Vredenburg, Steinway Hall as well as in concert halls across Europe, Asia and Australia. After being a semi-finalist in the 2026 Liszt Utrecht International Piano Competition, Sonya went on to win the “Paola Bruni” Prize for her interpretations of Carl Vine in the Palma D’oro International Piano Competition and the Third Prize in the Orbetello International Piano Competition. As well as studying a PhD and joining the teaching faculty at the Royal College of Music, she is looking forward to a busy 26/27 performance season ahead with highlights including an upcoming recital at Salle Cortot in Paris.
Sonya is looking forward to a busy 26/27 performance season ahead with highlights including an upcoming recital at Salle Cortot in Paris as part of the Busoni International piano competition. This September marks the continuation of her studies as a PhD scholarship holder and the beginning of her work joining the teaching faculty as a GTA at the Royal College of Music, London.
As well as having performed for members of the British Royal Family, Sonya has had concert engagements with orchestras since she was 15, most notably the Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Richard Gill AO and the Perugia Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Marius Stravinsky in Tuscany.
Sonya is a Keyboard Trust Artist and is generously supported by the Talent Unlimited Charity. While engaged in her Undergraduate, Masters and Artist Diploma Degrees at the Royal College of Music she has studied and worked with renowned professors including Norma Fisher, Sofya Gulyak and Dmitri Alexeev. Sonya has performed in masterclasses for many international artists, such as Alfred Brendel, Boris Berman, John Perry, Ewa Poblocka and Pavel Gililov.
This is a free event taking place in the Music Foyer. No booking required.
The performance will last approximately 30 minutes, with no interval.

£10 ‘Under 30s’ tickets
A limited number of £10 tickets are available for certain shows to attendees aged under 30. To access Under 30s tickets, update your account with your Date of Birth. Please visit the account centre to add your Date of Birth.
If £10 tickets are available, the ticket discount will apply automatically at checkout. If the discount does not apply, this means all ‘Under 30s’ tickets have sold out for the performance.
Please note that proof of age may be requested at the venue.

The Venue
Our performance spaces are situated on the lower ground floor. Hall One, Hall Two and St Pancras are located in level -2, reached by stairs, escalator and lift from the ground floor entrance level.

Rotunda, situated on the ground floor of Kings Place, offers a unique dining and drinking experience alongside Regent’s Canal. The concert bar in the venue foyer will also be open for select events.
