Singing Together | Voices Unwrapped

Formed in 1983, the Pink Singers are Europe’s longest running LGBTQ+ choir, they will make their debut at Kings Place promoting love, equality and appreciation of music.


The Pink Singers, a group of amateur singers come together to sing, perform and campaign for their community. Its members represent a diverse range of sexual orientations and gender identities from all walks of life who are united by a passion for singing great choral music.

The group is well-known for their emotional, fun and uplifting performances, which comprise an eclectic mix of music including commercial and in-house arrangements of popular music, show tunes, folk and classical music.

Musical Director 

Murray Hipkin has been musical director of the Pink Singers since 2010 and of the North London Chorus since 2003. He is on the music staff at English National Opera where he has conducted operetta and musicals including Chess, Carousel and Man of la Mancha, and was MD of The Sound of Music at the London Palladium for the last nine months of the run. Earlier this year he featured in the Sky Arts/ENO reality series Anyone Can Sing as conductor, mentor and accompanist. Recent ENO projects include Puccini La bohème and Poul Ruders The Handmaid’s Tale.
