A unique opportunity to form Karine Polwart and Pippa Murphy’s The Dark Matter Choir, and take part in a weekend of workshops, as part of Karine’s Sing to the Dark Weekend as Artist in Residence at Kings Place.

Weekend Workshops Schedule: 
Friday 1 Nov: 3pm-6pm*
Saturday 2 Nov: 10am-5pm*
Sunday 3 Nov: 10am-4pm with 7.30pm performance*

Two and half days of workshops and rehearsal will culminate in a performance as part of the Sing to the Dark concert with Karine Polwart and Pippa Murphy on Sunday 3 November. Members of The Dark Matter Choir will be seated upstairs in the balcony of Hall One during the concert and will play a simple but powerful role in the show itself, blurring the line between audience and participant, and singing to the dark.

All voices are welcome. All teaching by ear and suitable for singers with no formal musical training.

The weekend workshop will be supplemented by audio and text reference files in advance. Refreshments will be provided, as well as a sandwich lunch on Saturday and a sandwich supper on Sunday.
