One of the world’s most celebrated Baroque cellists, Christophe Coin, centres his afternoon recital on two contrasting Bach cello suites: the joyous C major and the C minor, a work of dark grandeur, famous for its starkly poignant Sarabande. He interleaves the two with virtuosic miniatures from Bach’s Italian contemporaries.
