Maria is a Moscow-born pianist who began her musical education at the Moscow Secondary Special Gnessin Music School, graduating with distinction in the class of Elena Ivanova.
She was subsequently awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she completed her Bachelor of Music with Distinction under Graham Scott, supported by the Reggie & Ann Dennis Scholarship and Leverhulme Arts Scholarship. In 2024, she completed her Master’s degree with Distinction at RNCM, studying with Dina Parakhina and receiving the Margaret Allen Piano Award.
Maria is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying with Ronan O’Hora and Katya Apekisheva. She also continues her studies at Accademia del Ridotto in Stradella, Italy, with Luca Rasca. From 2026 she has been supported by Help Musicians, receiving their Postgraduate Award.
Her performance experience includes recitals and festival appearances across Europe, the UK and Russia. Highlights include the Richter Festival in Tarusa, Tokarevfest in Germany, and a ballet-music recital at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.
She has performed with orchestras including the Igor Lerman Chamber Orchestra, Gnessins Virtuosi Orchestra, Russian Ministry of Defense Orchestra, Kaluga Youth “Svyatoslav Richter” Symphony Orchestra and RNCM Symphony Orchestra.
Maria is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, receiving First Prizes at the RNCM Concerto Competition, Flame International Piano Competition and Val Tidone Piano Competition among others. She was also awarded the Grand Prix at the Music Without Borders International Piano Competition and received a Special Mention at the International Piano Competition Maria Herrero in 2022.
