A forerunner of the Italian radio DJ generation and of the ambient music scene since the mid 1980’s, Gigi Masin is a veteran of contemporary electronic performance.

His first solo album Wind was published back in 1986, and throughout his career he has been sampled by everyone from Nujabes and Bjork to Main Attrakionz and Moomin, yet it is in the last four years that his solo work has really come to the forefront of the UK electronic scene.

In 2014, Music From Memory released a double vinyl compilation, Talk To The Sea, spanning 30 years of Masin’s work. Then later in the year, the same label released Clouds by Gaussian Curve, Gigi’s trio project alongside Jonny Nash (Land of Light) and Young Marco. Last year saw a follow up Gaussian Curve release again on Music From Memory, The Distance, before a release on Dekmantel 10th anniversary compilation and a remix for Devendra Banhart.
