Carlo Rovelli: The Order of Time

Renowned physicist Carlo Rovelli’s ground-breaking book The Order of Time went straight to the top of the bestseller list this year. In this special event for Time Unwrapped, Rovelli, author of Seven Brief Lessons on Physics, will reflect on what is known and unknown about time, and how music, enmeshed as it is with memory, can reflect its multi-layered phenomena. In conversation with writer and broadcaster Tom Service.

Listen to Rovelli talking to Kirsty Young on Desert Islands Discs last year.

Carlo Rovelli is an Italian physicist who has spent a lifetime working on the nature of space and time and the foundations of quantum theory. He is a member of the Institut Universitaire de France, Honorary Professor of the Normal Beijing University and has received Honoris Causa degree from the University of San Martin in Buenos Aires.  His popular science books include Seven Brief Lesson of Physics which has been translated into more than 40 languages and sold over a million copies worldwide, and most recently The Order of Time, on the nature of time.
