Voices Unwrapped | Singing Together

We are delighted to welcome Harrow Community Gospel Choir (HCGC) for their Kings Place debut, as part of the Singing Together project in Voices Unwrapped. HCGC is a performing choir singing a mixture of  contemporary gospel songs and spirituals.

Harrow Community Gospel Choir started in May 2013 and was initially formed to be part of the Now is the Time – Let Freedom Ring performance at the Harrow Arts Centre in November 2013. This was a special piece composed by Denys Baptiste to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Martin Luther King speech. It was performed in conjunction with Tomorrow’s Warriors and part of the London Jazz Festival.

The choir is directed by CeCelia Wickham-Anderson, a member of the internationally-acclaimed acapella group Black Voices, who sing in Hall One tonight. Enjoy their performance in the concert foyer from 6.45pm.
