Our Safety Measures

Updated 12/11/2021

The safety of our audiences, artists and staff is of paramount importance to Kings Place. We are continuing to try and offer the most enjoyable and safest visit as Government restrictions are being relaxed.

If you suspect you have any symptoms of coronavirus or have been advised to self-isolate, we kindly urge you to refrain from attending events at Kings Place. If you inform us prior to the event we will offer you a credit voucher for the value of your tickets.

Seating will no longer be socially-distanced from the start of our new season in September.

There is no longer a legal requirement to wear face coverings in indoor settings. However, the UK Government recommends that members of the public continue to wear face coverings in crowded and enclosed spaces where you come into contact with people you don’t normally meet. For the safety of our audiences and artists we request that you wear a mask for the duration of the event you are attending.

We don’t currently ask our visitors to show a negative COVID test result or proof of vaccination as a condition of entry. If guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England changes and these become mandatory, we will update our processes and the information on this page accordingly.

We encourage all visitors to check in using the NHS Test and Trace app, if they are able to, even though this is no longer compulsory. We are no longer collecting contact details of visitors for contact tracing purposes.

How we are keeping people safe:

  • Provision of sanitising stations at each entrance, and access to hand-washing facilities;
  • A state of the art fresh-air air-conditioning system which ensures air is never recirculated;
  • All the communal areas and surfaces of the building have been sanitised using the Bioprotectus fogging disinfection programme;
  • All Kings Place staff will be asked to wear a face covering unless exempt;
  • Pre-planned scheduling of all areas in the building to de-densify spaces;
  • Directional signage and the use of one-way systems;
  • Regular cleaning of toilets and thorough cleaning of the hall between events;
  • To limit physical contact, our cloakroom will be closed until further notice;
  • The concert bar in the foyer will be open for select events and Rotunda is open and safely serving food and drink.

Kings Place is a recipient of the ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard mark, certifying that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines with a Risk Assessment in place plus a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
