Our Safety Measures

Updated 19/07/21

The safety of our audiences, artists and staff is of paramount importance to Kings Place. We have taken the decision, in consultation with our audience, to restrict capacities to 50% through the summer along with other safety protocols (see below). We will continue to respond to government guidance. Any queries please email:

Please note that if you suspect you have any symptoms of coronavirus or have been advised by track and trace to self-isolate, we kindly urge you to refrain from attending events at Kings Place until you regain your health or your self-isolation period is over. Please inform us of your situation prior to the event and we will happily offer you a credit voucher for the value of your tickets. This can be used against any Kings Place performance in the next 2 years.

NHS Track and Trace: To help NHS Test-and-Trace teams get in touch, should you come into contact with a new COVID-19 case, all visitors to Kings Place are encouraged to scan-in via a QR code before entering one of our halls. Those without the app will need to give their name and contact details (email or phone) to a member of our team.

We are required to keep hold of your data for 21 days after your visit. It will only be used where necessary to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and after those 21 days, your data will be deleted.

  • Organised general admission in halls, we are keeping a 50% capacity subject to review in August
  • Groups will be seated or standing together with a space between the next group.
  • Provision of sanitising stations at each entrance, and access to hand-washing facilities
  • A state of the art fresh-air air-conditioning system which ensures air is not recirculated
  • All the communal areas and surfaces of the building have been sanitised using the Bioprotectus fogging disinfection programme
  • All front of house staff to wear masks unless exempt
  • We strongly recommend that masks are worn for the duration of your visit, unless you are exempt or consuming food or drink
  • One-way ingress and egress from the halls
  • Pre-planned scheduling of all areas in the building to de-densify spaces
  • Signage reminding people to keep a distance of 1 metre wherever possible, including while moving around Kings Place with clear directional signage and the use of one-way systems
  • Regular cleaning of toilets and thorough cleaning of the hall between events
  • The concert bar in the foyer will be open for select events and Rotunda is open and safely serving food and drink
  • We will not be issuing paper tickets; for those without e-tickets, your email confirmation of purchase will suffice
  • Programme handbills will be digitised
  • To limit physical contact, our cloakroom will be closed for the duration of July and August

Kings Place is now a recipient of the ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard mark, certifying that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines with a Risk Assessment in place plus a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
