The Role
We are looking for proactive and collaborative House Technicians to join our Technical team. This is a hands-on operational role that ensures the highest standards of technical delivery and customer service across all events at Kings Place, from performances and festivals to conferences and site visits.
You’ll be responsible for preparing and operating a range of technical equipment, providing first-line maintenance, and supporting the setup and delivery of events in our world-class venues. The role will also include supervising technical operations during shifts, acting as a key Duty Technician, and contributing to the upkeep and development of our technical infrastructure.
This is a fantastic opportunity for early to mid-career technicians with strong sound or lighting experience looking to expand their skillset across disciplines and gain high-level experience in a busy, artist- and client-facing environment.
The Person
You’ll have relevant professional experience in technical theatre or live events and be confident in your core technical specialism (live sound and/or lighting). You should have a good knowledge of current control equipment and a willingness to learn across technical areas including AV, broadcast, and stage management.
You should be a reliable team player, comfortable working independently and under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to problem-solve and adapt on the fly.
A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to work flexibly across a varied schedule of performances, rehearsals and events will be key to success in this role.

The Role
The Head of Marketing & Communications at Kings Place Music Foundation acts as the ambassador for the organisation, driving brand awareness and forging valuable relationships. The role exists to nurture existing audiences and develop diverse new ones while maximising brand exposure and box office income for the Kings Place programme.
Reporting to the Director of Audiences, the Head of Marketing will develop and implement Kings Place’s Marketing and Communications strategy. They will play a central role in building the brand profile, honing effective marketing processes, and achieving audience development targets.
The Head of Marketing will work closely with the Programme and Visitor Services departments with the objective of communicating the KPMF mission and values from the digital to the in-person customer journey.

The Role
We are delighted to announce that we are recruiting for a new Folk Programmer role. Since 2008, Kings Place has established itself as a central and forward-looking arts venue in folk programming. This includes the showcasing of established folk artists such as Karine Polwart, Sam Lee and Julie Fowlis and supporting the development of up-and-coming artists, through avenues such as the Future Folk series and annual Folk Weekend. The Folk Programmer will be responsible for the curation of the Kings Place folk programme, including its own key projects, festivals and series, co-promotions and hall rentals.
The role exists to develop the folk content at Kings Place and produce an annual folk programme that is of the highest quality, is creatively exciting, financially successful, grows audiences and builds on the unique Kings Place brand, drawing national and international attention.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have experience in programming and a sound knowledge of event production. An avid folk music advocate, you should be knowledgeable and passionate about folk music and have relevant industry contacts. We are seeking a Programme Administrator to join us in a full-time, permanent role. During that time, you’ll provide support to the whole Programme team, learning about all areas of programming, production, marketing and finance in a dynamic environment.
The role exists to lead on the administration of the Kings Place programme of shows and events, from managing the diary systems, liaising with artists, communicating event details to the marketing, box office and production teams, coordinating settlements, to attending shows and connecting with artists and industry members.
