Community Club Campaign

Pay it forward today to give away free tickets to underserved members of our local communities across Islington and Camden.

Kings Place Music Foundation are proud to introduce the Community Club, our new initiative partnering with organisations to ensure that everyone has access to live music in their local community.

First launching in November 2022, our donors raised enough funds to give away over 100 free tickets to local people. This means more members of our community will have the opportunity to enjoy and participate in the events and activities at Kings Place, helping to create a more inclusive and connected community.

Through our work with refugee and asylum-seeking artists and families, we’ve witnessed how access to cultural events strengthens confidence and promotes community ties. The partnership with the Community Club ensures that barriers such as cost or accessibility do not stand in the way of participation, which is an incredible gift to those who need it most.” – WE RESTART, Community Club Member

Using your donations, we’ll continue to provide free tickets to our shows through our member organisations across Islington and Camden. Please pay it forward today with a donation.

Studies show that engagement with the arts can improve social cohesion and reduce social inequalities (UCL and WHO). This why initiatives like our Community Club are vital, helping us engage with groups working across both boroughs to identify and bring together people who may not otherwise have the chance to participate in our work.

Funds raised will help us widen access for local people who would otherwise not be able to see our concerts and support the development of even more engagement opportunities in the future.

Donate to give away a free ticket through the Community Club.

Find out more about the Community Club

Designed to break down financial barriers and create more opportunities to participate in our work, the Community Club brings together our ambitions to work more actively with our local neighbours and reach underserved people.

Our goals for the Community Club are simple:

  • Expand access to live music for those who face social and economic barriers
  • Promote inclusion by connecting people from different communities through the shared experience of music
  • Build lasting partnerships with local organisations that care about enhancing cultural life and well-being in our community

Members of our Community Club include:

  • Artbox, a studio where learning disabled and neurodivergent artists come together to explore art, build friendships and learn new skills
  • British Library, who are working to create and support free activities, events and opportunities for residents and organisations based near the Library
  • Central YMCA, a national charity that advances the education, health and wellbeing of our communities.
  • Clarion Housing, who provide homes for those who need them most
  • Gingerbread, a Somers Town based group bringing together single parents for social meet-ups
  • Highgate Black Women’s Wellness Group, a support group for black women in inner London
  • WE RESTART, a charity empowering communities, tackling global injustice and improving well-being through paintings, photography, theatre, film, literature and other art forms

We can’t wait to welcome Members over the coming months.

Thanks to our donors, we can collaborate with our Community Club Members to support those prevented from engaging in live music and ensure no one is left out. A donation of £25 would cover the cost of a single ticket, but Whether you donate £5 or £500, every contribution will bring us closer towards achieving our vision of inclusivity through music.

Pay it forward today with a donation online or text COMMUNITYCLUB  to 70085 to donate £5.*

If you have any questions about the Community Club and how to donate, please get in touch with Charlotte Cole, Head of Development, at charlotte.cole@kingsplace.co.uk.

*Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message.
